Look at the world and world events…..then see what the Word of God says.  Most people that have any power of reasoning at all would have to conclude that God indeed knows the end from the beginning and knows the human condition.  For this reason, He provided an avenue of salvation to all who will hear Him.  Jesus refers to that avenue as the “narrow way” and stated that there are few that find it (Matthew 7:14).

 

¨ Violence -  {DAYS OF NOAH} Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.                                                                  [Genesis 6:11]

                                  - And what is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” 

                 [Matthew 24:3]                      

                                  - As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.                                                          For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking,                                                                 marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark.

[Matthew 24:37 - 38]          

   

¨ Technology - [4] But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.”

[Daniel 12]                             

 

¨ Humanism - [3:1] But know this: difficult times will come in the last days. [2] For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, [3] unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, [4] traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] holding to the form of religion but denying its power. Avoid these people!                                                                                                   [2 Timothy 3]

 

¨ Drugs - The Book of Revelation is a book that deals with the increasing depravity of man as we approach the end of this age.  It talks of God’s wrath, judgment, justice & salvation -all in the context of man’s rejection of Jesus Christ and God’s laws.  One of the things He includes that contributes to man’s self-destructive tendencies is the use of drugs (Gr. pharmakeia) in chapter 9, verse 21.  We live in a world and society in which drugs play an ever increasing role in the majority of people’s lives.  Both legal and illegal drugs - most of which are used to dull the senses and conscience of man.  In fact, if the truth was told, legal drugs are probably more of a problem than illegal drugs.

                        - Read Psalm 2 in the Old Testament — it fits like a glove with the Book of Revelation.
